In my opinion, the TBI Pro outperforms some of the more popular portable Bluetooth speakers under $50 and that’s why it’s in my top ten list.
You won’t find reviews outside of Amazon on this treasure of a speaker anywhere else.

- why I like the TBI Pro Bang X7
- why it made my top ten list
- and who will love it the most?
Let’s start with that beautiful sound.
Booming Bass And Much More
You’ll be surprised at the beautiful, loud sound that comes out of such a small, portable Bluetooth speaker. But what about that bass?
Does the Bass Deliver?
This little gem has a built-in subwoofer for a smooth, thundering bass that takes your breath away considering the small size.
TBI Pro’s design comes from experienced sound engineers dedicated to building a beautifully constructed subwoofer built right into the back of this tiny little speaker box. It may be small but it’s mighty.
For this type of speaker, the bass really gets the job done. The deep booms and thumping beats of middle bass dance in the air creating a full and rich listening experience.
The sound explodes out of two 10-watt speakers. The clarity and crispness pick up excellent low to high ranges. Vocals are clear and the depth and balance of sound are pleasing to the ears.
But can it get loud?
Fantastic Volume Range
Yes, this incredible Bluetooth speaker is plenty loud. It performs as well as some of the leading brands. It’s almost as good as the Anker Soundcore 2.
Go ahead and crank up the volume because there is virtually no distortion in this little soundbox. For the price, it exceeds performance expectations.
You can feel confident about hosting a great party with Bang X7. And, it really shines when you pair a couple of them together for a full, stereo sound.
Pairing two of them is a cinch with the special control button TBI Pro designed to make this operation seamless and easy. Just press and pair your two speakers together. It really is that simple.
Take it to the game. Background noise isn’t going to ruin your fun.
You can jam to your tunes at max volume in the shower too. TBI Pro is waterproof but don’t drop it in the tub.
Don’t Submerge It But It’s Mostly Waterproof
TBI Pro Bang X7 can handle your splashes and weather.
Pool, beach, rain, or shower are no problem. The sturdy design of Bang X7 will protect your speaker from most water fun.
Upon further investigation, this little speaker doesn’t have the same protective grille and material as some other portable’s I’ve reviewed.
It can handle heavy splashing but a drop in the pool will mess up the inside of this speaker.
There is a protective flap to cover the ports but it doesn’t fit as snuggly as some of the other more durably designed speakers like the Aomais Sport II or JBL Go 2.
Although it has an IPX7 rating, it just doesn’t perform like others in its class. High humidity from a shower, pool, or weather won’t hurt it. So enjoy the water but be cautious.
Can it handle your clumsy moments?
Rugged Design For High Impact
The rubbery material around the outside of this speaker is smooth and forgiving to the touch. It can handle your clumsiest of moments.
TBI Pro has a little weight to it and overall durable construction. You can drop, bang, and jostle it and the rubber coating protects it from damage.
The grille is made of a metal material and resists flexing. The construction of the rubbery material encases the grille and inner components protecting it from corner drops, too.
Because the material is rubbery, it resists vibration and cushions bounce. Both of these factors produce smooth sound vibrations from the device and keep it safe from rough handling.
Enjoy your hike, bike ride, and dance all night long. Bang X7 lives up to its name. It can take a bang or two or three and never miss a beat.
Not only can it handle your active life, but it also has a good battery life as the Anker Soundcore 2.
The Battery Is The Bomb
Battery life is no issue here. TBI Pro uses a Lithium-Ion 3,600 mAh rechargeable battery in the Bang X7. It’s built-in and charges in about 3 hours. This battery provides up to 24 hours of glorious play.
At max volume, you still get close to 20 hours of play. A very cool feature of this great device is its ability to be used as a power bank to charge your phone if you need it.
The battery life is that great. Just plug your phone into your Bang X7 and save yourself from a dead phone battery.
With a battery that lasts this long, you could go for days and never need to stop for a charge. This is one of my favorite things about this fantastic little speaker!
But what about the range?
Range is no Problem
You’ll have no worries about going the distance with your Bang X7. It’s got all you need with Enhanced Data Rate (EDR), 4.2 Bluetooth technology. Easily go up to 66ft and maybe more depending on your environment.
Customer feedback has indicated some users got up to 100ft before they started to lose signal.
The best part of 4.2 Bluetooth EDR is the streaming speed. Connect fast and secure and limit your worry about skips and delays.
On a special note, this great little speaker supports up to 64GB of memory. So bring those fabulous playlists and podcasts everywhere you go. Your TBI Pro will keep you listening for hours.
So there you have it. A fantastic Bluetooth speaker for the price. I apologize for sounding like an infomercial but I have to say it.
I do have two minor complaints though.
- The volume buttons are slow to respond because of the dual purpose they serve.
- The design is very plain with a large, tacky logo plastered on the front cover.
Volume Control Is Slow To Respond But There’s a Reason
If it weren’t for the fact that you can use your phone to control volume, this would have been a bigger deal for me.
On the other hand, other brands like the DOSS Soundbox have touch controls that can be too sensitive.
If your control buttons prevent accidental and unwanted changes, that’s a good thing.
But there is a good reason these buttons don’t function like normal volume control, they serve two purposes. The plus and minus control also act as the song tracking controls.
It takes some patience to get used to this slight delay and you eventually don’t notice it. It’s not a big deal but you need to be aware that there is nothing wrong with your speaker. It’s just trying to figure out if you want to adjust your volume or change your song track.
Since you also can’t see the volume adjusting on your phone when you turn it up or down from your speaker, you have no idea how loud you’re really turning your device.
Some customers thought their device was broken when it wasn’t.
Blah Design With Loud Logo
If you read my review on the Tribit Xsound Go, you’ll see a similar complaint. For some reason, some manufacturers want to put their logo in your face on these very small Bluetooth speakers.
I understand companies are proud of their brand and want to showcase it. But as a user, I prefer not having big bold, white letters plastered across my devices.
The logo is fine if it is much more tastefully displayed and less noticeable. Amazon Echo Dot and DOSS SoundBox are two great examples of subtle but effective branding that keeps the customer in mind.
Let’s take a look now at what you get when the package arrives.
What Comes with Your TBI Pro Bang X7?
The warranty covers 12 months. Manufacturer defects are replaced hassle-free. Try out your new speaker for a year and don’t worry about a thing.
If something goes wrong because of a design defect, you’ll be covered.
Warranties are there for a reason so know the facts, save your documents, and use it if you need it.
What else do you get for such a great price?
So, what’s in the box?
First, the packaging is secure and protective and weight upon delivery is 1.9lbs. And here’s what’s inside the box:
- A beautiful, sturdy zippered case protecting your speaker.
- An owner’s manual
- A velvety sleeve protects your speaker inside the case.
- Inside the sleeve is a durably constructed Bluetooth speaker.
- One USB Charging Cable
- One 3.5mm Auxiliary Cable
- One Built-In, Lithium-Ion Battery
- One lifting rope that can be tied to your speaker
Make sure you read the manual. Operation is effortless, but things like the pairing, troubleshooting, and do’s and don’ts are helpful tips, so you get the most out of your investment.
The speaker is heavier than all of the speakers on my top 10 list but it feels durable and that’s important. It’s still plenty light and portable. The dimensions are 7.7 x 2 x 3.2 inches.
You can fit it in a backpack, beach bag, or suitcase. It’s a little big for a purse but possible depending on the size of the purse.
The rubbery grip allows you to securely hold your speaker.
The large buttons are easy to see and feel making operation a breeze.
There is a built-in mic for utilizing the touch-free calling feature, too.
Optional Extras
There is no need to worry about purchasing anything extra unless you want a plug. Your TBI Pro comes with everything you need except that.
You don’t even have to buy a case because this fantastic speaker comes with a really nice one.
Now let’s take a look at how to operate your new speaker.
This Speaker Defines Easy Operation
TBI Pro is truly one of the most simple Bluetooth speakers to operate.
Search for Bang X7 on your smartphone or audio source, click on it, click pair, and let the excitement begin. You will know you’re paired when a solid blue light appears on the front of your speaker.
Once you’ve paired with a device, TBI Pro remembers your last device and activates automatically.
If you press and hold the power button, your speaker will shut off or turn on and provide a sound that lets you know you’ve completed the task.
There is an ‘M’ button on the control panel that easily allows you to pair multiple speakers for a fantastic stereo surround sound.
The minus and plus controls serve two purposes. They control the volume and they allow you to skip forward and backward through your song tracks.
Song tracking is a terrific capability and not all portable Bluetooth speakers have this option. You’ll need to practice because sometimes you adjust the volume when you intend to change the track.
Once you get used to how firmly and how long to hold down the button, you’ll have no issues using this great feature.
Check out this video if you want to see a demonstration on how TBI Pro sounds and operates.
